* Paul's letter to the Romans * We have just completed the "doctrinal" foundation of Paul's letter, the discussion of salvation by faith alone leading up to the presentation of God's plan for Israel * Paul unveiled the mystery of God: that Israel, because of their disobedience, would be set aside for a period of time (in which God would open up salvation to the Gentiles as a means of provocation to the Jews - to make them jealous - such that they would return to God by faith) and at the end of this period of time all Israel would be delivered. * Today, we pick up Paul's discourse with his transition into what effect the revelation of this mystery should have upon the body of Christ - beginning first with the individual believer.
