1 Kings 15:25-16:20 Israel - Nadab through Zimri Last week, we considered the reign of Jeroboam and his fateful decision to set up a golden calf at Bethel and at Dan, leading the northern tribes of Israel down a path that would ultimately lead to their destruction. During this period we will continue to see, as we have, the balance between the sovereignty of God and the responsibility of man. As we journey through the chronicles of the kings of Israel and Judah, we will also take the opportunity to consider additional doctrinal points which are addressed in the passage.
