2 Samuel 13 Absalom (Pt 1. His Revenge) After God made an everlasting covenant with David, David fell into sin. He committed adultery with Bathsheba and then orchestrated the death of her husband, Uriah. As a consequence of his sin, the child who was conceived via that illicit relationship would die. Also, God tells David that the sword would not depart from his family and that his own wives would be violated - only publicly. Today, we begin to see more of the ripple effects of David's sin.
