BLENDED AND BLESSED EVENT On Saturday, April 27th, we will be hosting 'Blended & Blessed® - a ministry of Family Life Blended. It is the only one-day live event and livestream just for stepfamily couples, dating couples with kids, and those who care about blended families. The intent of the conference is to unpack strategies that are crucial to building unity in your stepfamily. It is free to attend. However, space is limited, please RSVP to Stephen and Kristen Phillips (BlendedandBlessed@family-bible-church.org). The event will begin at 10 AM (doors will open at 9:45 AM) and conclude at approximately 4:30 PM.
EASTER vs. RESURRECTION DAY This year's calendar highlights the difference between the celebration of Easter from the Biblical timing of Christ's actual resurrection. The traditional celebration of "Easter" is based upon following the first full moon after the vernal equinox. However, Biblically, the day of Christ's resurrection is determined as the first day of the week which followed the Feast of Passover; this day was the celebration of the Feast of First Fruits. This year, Passover is not until the end of April. Therefore, dating Resurrection Day using a Biblical standard would place it on Sunday, April 28th. As a church, we have decided to follow the Biblical record and not church "tradition." Hence, our Annual Son-Rise Service, Breakfast, and Praise and Testimony Service will be held on Sunday, April 28th. We will meet as normal on Sunday, March 31st.
