As we enter into this Advent season of reflection, considering the incarnation of our great God and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, we need to take great care to not be distracted by the materialism of the world. We seek the "perfect gift." However, God is the giver of every good and perfect. He has already bestowed His perfect gifts upon us. The core of all of God's gifts is His grace. Grace is when we receive (in a beneficial sense) what we do not deserve. God ministers grace to all of His creation by providing food, water and shelter. To mankind, God has gone past this pouring out of common grace of provision to a special, saving grace. "For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men." God, in His grace, has paid the price for the sins of the whole world. Have you appropriated God's grace in your life? Are you reflecting His grace through your life to others?
