* We are currently considering the events in the life of the Messiah during the days just prior to His death, burial and resurrection. * As we have seen, Jesus' is at this moment fulfilling the prophecies of several spring feasts and is establishing His role as a Prophet in His interactions with the Scribes, Pharisees, Herodians, Sadducees and Lawyers. * That group of Scholars have another motive - they are seeking find a fault in Jesus ... in order to have condemnatory evidence. * Today, we see Jesus parry the continual assaults of His enemies and then turn a 'theological' thrust back to win 'the match.'
