*The audio for this message is not good (we unknowingly had problems with the wireless transmitter). Until we are able to re-record the message, we recommend that you begin this excellent series of teaching on Dispensationalism with the third message, which was given on June 10th. In that message, Bob does a good job of reviewing the teaching from the first two messages (covering Biblical Interpretation and the initial consideration of Dispensational distinctives). This Listening Center is here for those who would like to download the sermon note-sheets for further study.

* Our lives are a result of what we choose to believe, and how we choose to interpret, the various situations and interactions in which we encounter. How we interpret what the Bible says IS extremely important!
* Should it be taken literally? Should it be considered as a book of good moral precepts, like other religious books? Should it be considered symbolic, or allegorical (in other words, does it mean something different than what it says)? Last week, we began looking at the importance of interpretation, or as Paul put it "right dividing the Word of truth." We ended the message asking three questions that affect how you interpret the Bible:
1. Do you believe that the Bible should be taken literally? (Do you believe that God said what He meant, and meant what He said?)
2. Do you believe that God revealed more knowledge and understanding throughout history (in other words, do we know more than the Old Testament prophets ... and did they know more than Moses ... etc)?
3. Do you believe that there is a clear distinction between the nation of Israel (in the Old Testament) and the Church (in the New Testament)?
If you answered "yes" to all three of those questions, then there is a good chance that you are a "Dispensationalist"!
* Today, we want to talk about what that means and consider what the Bible declares regarding each of those questions.
