* The book of Joshua - Israel's journey of faith into the Promised Land. * We have seen the expression of Rahab's faith and of that of the Priests and the nation. * Years ago, ABC's Wide World of Sports used to begin with the line "... from the thrill of victory ... to the agony of defeat ..." * Last week, we considered Israel's "thrill of victory!" ... Sadly, today, we will continue that statement by considering "the agony of defeat." * Clearly, this is a lesson for us all to learn and apply to our lives.
