* Paul's letter to the church of Rome. * It was mentioned in the first two messages regarding the importance that this epistle has in the discussion of the place of the law in the life of the believer. * During those first two messages we considered the call of God, the power of the gospel and the response of man to the revelation of God. * Today, we transition from the wrath of God being poured out upon those who suppress the truth and exchange the glory of the Creator to that of the creation, to the judgment of God being satisfied against all of the unrighteous - a broader group than the Jews cared to acknowledge! * Beginning in this "chapter," Paul begins to discuss the difference and commonness of the Jews and the Gentiles in their relationship to God ... God's declaration that salvation is not through the works of the law but through faith in the grace of God.
