When Christ is residing in reigning in our hearts, it will be reflected in our lives and our lives become the reflection of Christ. Jesus stated, "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speak." If Christ is reigning in our hearts, then our speech should reflect it. Paul shared with the believers of Ephesus what putting on Christ in their lives would look like. He began by describing the effect it should have upon the way they use their mouths. If we are reflecting Christ, then our speech should be reflecting truthfulness, graciousness, righteousness and purposefulness.
