The Reflection of Christ (The Individual Reflection, Pt 1: Our Speech)When Christ is residing in reigning in our hearts, it will be reflected in our lives and our lives become the reflection of Christ. Jesus stated, "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speak." If Christ is reigning in our hearts, then our speech should reflect it. Paul shared with the believers of Ephesus what putting on Christ in their lives would look like. He began by describing the effect it should have upon the way they use their mouths. If we are reflecting Christ, then our speech should be reflecting truthfulness, graciousness, righteousness and purposefulness. Majestic MeeknessMajesty is defined as stately splendor or royal dignity. Meekness is having power with constraint and gentleness. Both at His birth and death, the majestic meekness of Christ was revealed. God, the ultimate Majesty, emptied Himself and took the form of a servant. At His birth, He was proclaimed by both celestial angels and terrestial shepherds. At His death, the Judge of the earth stood before an earthly judge who sensed the divine presence in front of him. Believers are called to be conformed to the image of Christ and to have the mind of Christ. Hence, we also are to display this majestic meekness in our lives. We are called the heralds of God, the ambassadors of God and the children of God! As well though, we are accounted as servants of God and as sheep for the slaughter. Are we displaying that majestic meekness in our lives, or are we revealing a the mindset of the world? This message was presented on December 25, 2011 by Bob CorbinSun, 25 December 2011

The Return of Christ (Pt 4 The Anticipation of His Return)With all of the propechies that were given regarding the coming of the Messiah, the specific nature of the prophecy of Daniel, and the prophetic appearance of the angel to Zacharias, you would expect that the Jews would have been anxiously anticipating the birth of the Messiah. However, an examination of the Scripture reveals that the majority of the people missed it. So, the question to us is clear, will we be anticipating His 2nd coming? We are told that we should be serving and waiting; we are to be sober and watching! Do you believe that Jesus could come today? Your words and actions bear witness to the truth of your answer! The Return of Christ (Pt 3 The Timing of His Return)The season of the timing of the 1st Coming of Christ was given in the prophecy of Daniel. The Messiah would come and be cut off 69 weeks, or 483 years, after the decree to rebuild Jerusalem. When the angel came to Zacharias, the time of the birth of Christ became even more apparent. However, still no man would know the day or hour. The same is true regarding the 2nd coming of Christ. No man knows the day or the hour of His return. However, Paul declares that believers should not be surprised by the timing of the return of Christ as the world shall be. We are not of the night, but of the day. We should be aware of the declarations of the Word of God regarding the timing and climate of the return of Jesus Christ. We should be patiently watching and waiting for the return while we are serving Him faitfully. This message was presented on December 11, 2011 by Bob CorbinSun, 11 December 2011

The Return of Christ (Pt 2 The Climate of His Return)We are told in Scripture that the return of Christ will occur at a time that will be marked by widespread unexpectancy and heresy. People will lulled into an unexpectancy by temporal peace, ignorant optimism and great selfindulgence! Additionally during that time, there will be the presence of false christs and prophets, apostates and those scoffing at the teaching of a Creator God and the return of Christ. In the midst of that time, the return of Christ will come like the travail of a woman's labor. This message was presented on December 4, 2011 by Bob CorbinSun, 4 December 2011

The Life of Christ (Pt 5 The Power of His Ministry)The validity of Jesus as Messiah and the proclamation of His ministry, that the people should repent (change the way they think) because the Kingdom of God was at hand, was provided through the display of His power and authority over nature, demons, disease, handicaps, death and sin. Only God could perform the mighty works which Jesus performed. This divine authority and power is, as well, the basis for our Victory, Eternal Security and Evangelism! The Life of Christ (Pt 4 The Proclamation of His Ministry)"REPENT! For the Kingdom of God is at hand!" The proclamation of Christ was to "repent." The word "metanoio/metanoia" literally means "change the thinking," or "change the way you think." Those who are part of the Kingdom of God should not be thinking like those who are part of the kingdom of this world. We should seek to NOT be conformed to this world, but rather TO BE transformed in the renewing of our minds (desiring that our minds be made new). We are told that if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation. In this message Bob Corbin gives an overview of a biblical understanding of "the Kingdom" and what relationship that had to the command of Christ to repent. Are You Satisfied?James, the half brother of Jesus Christ, refers to himself in the beginning of his epistle as the bond servant of Jesus. He then begins to discuss and describe the importance of faith in the life of the believers; referring specifically to the testing and rewarding of our faith. The Life of Christ (Pt 2 His Youth)"Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business?" Those were the words which Jesus spoke to His mother and step-father when they searched for Him at the age of twelve. They found Him in the temple discussing the Word of God with the scribes and elders. As a twelve year old, Jesus stated that His purpose in life was to be focused on the work which the Father desired Him to perform. What is your purpose in life? We are told in Ephesians 2 that we were saved by grace through faith unto good works which God had before ordained that we should walk in. The Shadow of Christ (Pt 20 Seeing Christ as the Manifestation of God)"The people who have walked in darkness, have seen a great light; those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined." Light disperses darkness. Light breaks the yoke of bondage. That Light was the Messiah who was to come. When He was born, we are told His name would be "Wonderful Counselor," "Mighty God," "Everlasting Father," and "Prince of Peace." Each of those names reflect the deity of the Messiah; for each of those names refer distinctly to YHWH who alone is God. This message was presented on June 12, 2011 by Bob CorbinSun, 12 June 2011

The Shadow of Christ (Pt 19 Seeing Christ as the Good Shepherd)"The LORD (YHWH) is my shepherd" is probably the most profound statement in the Scripture. Consider the awesome it is to consider that the Almighty Creator of the Universe is the loving provider and protector of each individual ... He is my Shepherd! He cares about my physical, emotional and spiritual needs. And because of His Eternal Presence with me, I can have great confidence. Prophetically, this passage is extremely important as Jesus is referred to as "the good Shepherd" and "the Shepherd and Overseer of our souls." YHWH is the good Shepherd. Jesus is the good Shepherd. Jesus is YHWH! This message was presented on June 5, 2011 by Bob CorbinSun, 5 June 2011

The Shadow of Christ (Pt 17 Seeing Christ as the Prophet)Before Israel entered into the Promised Land, Moses took one final opportunity to inculcate into the nation what God had done for them and what He expected from them. Part of that challenge included a prophecy that God would one day send them another Prophet. In conjunction with that prophecy he gave two warnings: 1) Do not be conformed to the customs of the nations, and 2) Do not be deceived by false prophets. Sadly, Israel did not heed the warnings. Nor did they recognize The Prophet when He came unto His own! Those same warnings are applicable to the church. This message was presented on May 22, 2011 by Bob CorbinSun, 22 May 2011

The Shadow of Christ (Pt 16 Seeing Christ as the Cure)Throughout the Old Testament we find types which are shadows of the Messiah who was to come and which are testified to in the New Testament. During Israel's journey through the wilderness we see many of these types portrayed. One significant type is that of the brazen serpent lifted up in the wilderness, referred to by Jesus Himself in John 3. The children of Israel were guilty of insurrection against God, complaining about God's provision and direction. God sent fiery serpents among them. When the people repented God gave a cure: a bronze serpent attached to a pole. However, the people, when bitten, had to approach the pole by faith believing that they would be cured. In the same light, those who have been bitten by the serpent of sin, that would be everyone, must by faith look to Christ believing that they will be spiritually healed. Teach Us To PrayIn the Matthew 6 we have recorded the Lord's model prayer. His disciples requested that He teach them how to pray. The Shadow of Christ (Pt 15 Seeing Christ as the First Fruits)Christ was the firstfruit of dead. The Feast of Firstfruits was instituted to reveal God's ownership over the earth and His provision for His children. Those who are His should desire to give to God their firstfruits. The timing of the Feast was as well sovereignly chosen by God and was specifically fulfilled in Christ. This message was presented on April 24, 2011 by Bob CorbinSun, 24 April 2011

The Shadow of Christ (Pt 14 Seeing Christ as the Sin Sacrifice)In Levitical law there was a specific manner in which the sin sacrifice was to be offered. The presenter was to bring a young bull without blemish, lay his hands on the head of the bull confessing his sin, and then kill the bull. The priest was then to sprinkle the blood of the bull seven times on the altar, anoint the horns of the altar with the blood, and then pour the remainder of the blood at the base of the altar. This "Shadow" was fulfilled in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ on the altar of the cross! Those who come to Christ must as well confess their sins and accept the atonement that His eternally efficacious sacrifice provides. The Shadow of Christ (Pt 9 Seeing Christ As Our Passover)The Feast of Passover is an annual remembrance for the Jewish people of how YHWH delivered them from the dominion and power of Egypt. Jesus, the night in which He was betrayed, revealed the fulfillment of the Passover celebration. He would be our Passover. The commemoration which we refer to as communion, or the Lord's Supper, actually is an extenuation of the Passover celebration. Jesus, as the firstborn Son, died in our stead; He was the ultimate Passover Lamb. Christ fully fulfilled the Passover type. He was chosen on the 10th day of Nisan, examined for four days, and then slaughtered (crucified) at twilight on the 14th day of Nisan. This was in order that we might be emancipated from our Egypt, sin! This message was presented on Sunday, February 27, 2011 by Bob CorbinSun, 27 February 2011

The Shadow of Christ (Pt 8 Seeing Christ As The Coming King)Genesis 49:10 states, "The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes; and to Him shall be the obedience of the people." Another of the portraits of the coming Messiah was given during the blessings that Jacob gave to his sons before his death. In the course of his blessing to Judah, Jacob declared that the ruler of Israel would come from Judah. The reign of the Messiah would be with power, peace and prosperity. The Shadow of Christ (Pt 7 Seeing Christ As The Way)Jacob was a man of great guile (treacherous cunning and skillful deceit). Yet, Jacob was the one through whom God chose to continue His Abahamic covenant blessing. While the deceiver was on the run, God appeared to him standing beside a ladder extending from heaven to earth with angels ascending and descending. This incident is another portrait of the coming Messiah acclaimed by Christ Himself in His discourse with Nathaniel. Jesus declared that He was the ladder, just as He would declare later that He was the only Way to the Father. The Shadow of Christ (Pt 6 Seeing Christ As The Lamb of God)Throughout the recording of the history of the world found in the Old Testament, God had provided glimpses into the nature of the Messiah Redeemer who was to come. Hence, when Christ was born there should have been no surprise as to Who Jesus was and what His sacrificial role would be. In John 20:29 we read Jesus stating to Thomas, "because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." We, who live 2,000 years since the death, burial and resurrection of Christ accept, by faith, the validity and veracity of the gospel account recorded throughout the Scriptures. The greatest illustration of the love of God expressed in the sacrificial offering of His Son is the account of the testing of the faith of Abraham. Through Abraham's willingness to heed God's call to offer his son, his only son, whom he loved to Him as a sacrifice we see God's tremendous love for us. The Shadow of Christ (Pt 5 Seeing Christ As The Melchizedekian Priest)In Genesis 14, there is a brief account of an encounter between Abraham and Melchizedek. Yet that encounter has much packed into it practically and prophetically. In the encounter between the Patriarch and the Priest we see three indicators of our relationship with the LORD God Most High: our reputation, our giving and our alliances. Prophetically, we are told by Psalmist regarding the Messiah: "The LORD has sworn and will not relent, 'You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.' " (Psalm 110:4) In book of Hebrews we find that the Melchizedekian Priesthood of Jesus Christ is superior to and supplanted the Levitical Aaronic Priesthood. The Shadow of Christ (Pt 4 Seeing Christ As The Seed of Abraham)The manifestation of Christ at His incarnation was the revealing of a mystery that God had given indicators regarding throughout recorded history in the Scriptures. One of those indicators was the declaration of God to Abraham that He would make him the father of many nations and that in him, and his seed, all of the nations of the world would be blessed. We are told in Galatians 3 that Christ is the Seed of Abraham. Then, those who follow the example of Abraham and trust God by faith are considered the seed of Abraham as well. As Abraham, those who by faith trust Christ as their Savior are to be a blessing to those about them. God called Abraham to leave his home, family and religious heritage to follow Him and serve Him. That same challenge is given to each person who would be the disciples of Jesus Christ. Are you willing to leave everything to follow Jesus? The Shadow of Christ (Pt 2 Seeing Christ As The Seed of Woman)Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Indicators of the coming of Christ and His diety are throughout the Word of God. When God placed man in the garden to tend it, He gave man one special command, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die." Adam and Eve, though, chose to believe and heed the voice of Satan. Man died socially, physically and spiritually. However, in the midst of issuing the consequences for disobedience, God revealed that Messiah would come both as a suffering Messiah and a conquering Messiah. How alert are you to the wiles of the devil? Have you, by faith, accepted the gift of life that Christ purchased for you? The Shadow of Christ (Pt 1 Seeing Christ As The Creator)Indicators of the coming of Christ and His diety are throughout the Word of God. His first coming at the incarnation should not have come as a surprise. Lord willing, during the next 22 messages we will be considering the portents and indicators of Christ's coming and His diety. The best place to begin is at the beginning. When God created, He created with order and purpose, in six 24 hour days. Then He rested on the seventh day and established a pattern for us to follow. Scripture reveals that Jesus Christ is the LORD of the Sabbath and LORD of creation; He is the everlasting God who came to earth to pay the penalty for each of our sins.
